Mr. Gordon is fabrication mentor for the Shell Eco Project at Granite Bay High School. He is currently a remolding contractor and is a “former gearhead.” He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and became involved in this project through his daughter and thought it sounded interesting. He is most excited to see what this project will do for kids. At the international competition in Houston, students will be exposed to colleges and potential career paths which Mr. Gordon believes is invaluable.
Mr. Favaro has had a long interest in cars; he bought his first car, a 1955 convertible mustang, at age 15 and has owned about 400 cars since. He is now retired, but was in construction and was an instructor at wyotech. He initially became involved in this project because he sees volunteering as a selfless way to better our program. He is a strong believer that nothing would be able to get done without the help of volunteers, so he decided to give back in the form of fabrication mentoring. Mr. Favaro cannot wait until the moment when the team can put the keys in the ignition and get the car to start. He is most excited to see the students become successful and take pride in their work.

Co Lead Fabricator
Adam is a junior at Granite Bay High School. His title is co-lead on fabrication. He joined this program because he wanted to gain knowledge in cars and how they work. His jobs include fabricating the chassis, designing layouts, and applying the design plans to build the car. Adam is not sure what college he would like to attend post-high school but does know that he wants to major in engineering and later find a career in that field.
